User Reviews about Nikon D300s 12.3 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f 3.5-5.6G ED VR II Lens

Bought from Amazon, excellent service. The Nikon D300s is a great camera, especially if you need the burst speed or slightly improved low-light focus, but if you don't care about video you might consider looking for a really good deal on a D300 and using what you save to splurge on a good lens. i upgraded from D300 I will list the difference.

-- Excellent Choice
Completely consistent with Nikon's tradition of robust camera bodies. Highly recommended by this purchaser; this body will last you for a very very very long time. -- Very Serious Camera
I love this camera! I have had it about a week and a half now, and I've found nothing about it that I dislike. I've already taken over 600 photographs. It does take some time to learn how to use all the features of this camera, but that is part of the wonder of it all. I've noticed that it is a bit heavier than my previous cameras, but that is because it is a professional camera and has more options. The multiple exposure setting has been a lot of fun. Until I had this camera I had concluded that it was not possible to do multiple exposure with digital cameras, as you could with film SLRs, but now I see that it was only with simpler DSLRs that one could not do them. Overall, I love having the ability to have total control over my photographs, and I love having the capability of choosing among all of Nikon's wonderful selections of lenses, strobes and other very useful accessories. -- Truly magnificent camera!
Like many reviewers, I researched this purchase for months. This is without a doubt the best prosumer dSLR available, and is actually used by many pros. The dual memory card and video capability are gravy on this primo camera. Purchased from Amazon (best price), no shipping or sales tax, and using the Amazon Store Card I got 12mths no interest. Don't waste anymore time looking. If this camera is within your budget, just buy it. You will be delighted EVERY time you look at the amazing photos you took.
