User Reviews about Lowepro Fastpack 250 (Black)

This backpack comfortably fits one small/medium size DSLR with basic lenses plus two extra lenses. I use it with a Canon 450D (or Rebel) and three lenses, the basic 18-55 mm, a 10-22 mm Sigma and a 55-250 Canon. The camera fits in with the basic and the wide angle lenses, but the tele zoom is too long to fit in when mounted on the camera body. The whole kit including an 450EX flash, bouncer and lens hood fits in comfortably. There are some compartments that are too small to use for anything meaningful, you may place the battery charger there. The upper section fits some basic stuff for a day of hiking or city discovery (jacket, umbrella, sunscreen, bug spray, food, water). All in all the backpack is comfortable (using the waist strap) and is ideal for a basic DSLR kit. -- Good photo daypack for basic DSLR
When I go hiking, I want a backpack for a Canon Digital SLR plus my binoculars, along with room for water, raingear, and my daughter's snacks.

I tried to manage with this, but ultimately returned it. I couldn't configure it for easy access to both binoculars *and* camera, and the remaining space was too small for my hiking gear.

I know this is probably a great pack for a dedicated photographer carrying lots of gear. It just wasn't good for my situation, so I wanted to alert others in my situation. It's funny, but I think many may have similar needs. But so far I'm not finding anything in my search. Any suggestions? Thanks. -- Not good for Binoculars + SLR
Spent much time researching backpacks to tote a Canon 7D and laptop. This one fills the bill. Construction quality and material are very good and at a fair price. Time will tell if it wears well but for now I am very satisfied. -- Glad I did it
This is a great back pack, easily held my Nikon D5000, extra lens, Canon FS100 video camera, extra memory cards, and chargers. Also the padded pocket held my 14 inch notebook with space to spare for a book. The upper portion held my sunglasses, ipod and other small items with ease. Took bag on 2 week bus tour used multiple times each day with out any problems, bag held up great

Pros: Bag holds equipment nicely, can adjust dividers in the camera portions for different size equipment.
- Nice size not bulky, easy to wear, good straps and padding.
-Can get to camera from side pocket do not have to worry about other items falling out
-Flat bottom on bag keeps bag upright
-Solid construction, zippers smooth, good padding

Cons: When fully loaded including the notebook computer bag is heavy, carrying it all day is a chore. (the bag itself is light)

For my needs this bag was great, I ended up not taking the computer on all day trips and this made carrying the bag all day a breeze. Bag has very nice padding on the straps and back of the pack it is comfortable to wear. I would recommend this to anyone who does not carry more than a few extra lens, it might not be able to carry more than 2 extra lens. -- Great camera bag
Being a college student and a photographer can get a little tough at times. Luckily with this backpack I can store my tablet laptop and all my camera gear all in the same pack for my art classes I'm taking. Its also very useful on walks or hikes and is very comfortable especially with the waste belt. It also has lots of room for all of my cameras accessories including my T1i with my 18-55mm lens, my 50m lens, 55-250mm, and also my 10-22mm wide angle lens. Also it has lots of room up top for my cables and filters and also my lens hoods that i carry as well. I would highly recommend this bag for someone to save space or for someone doing some walk around photography!! -- Great Backpack!
