User Reviews about AmazonBasics Leather Camera Case for Digital Cameras (Black)
My first recommendation before going any further into considering this camera case would definitely be to review the dimensions Amazon provides in the product description in this page. A common concern among reviewers about this case seems to be the size. I think Amazon does a great job by providing examples of cameras and brands that will fit in it as well as its dimensions so this should not be a point of concern in regards to the product. Per Amazon "Internal dimensions: 2.2 x 3.50 x 0.77 inches (56mm x 19.4mm x 89mm)"
This simple yet elegant leather case while basic, performs just as described. It has an open area on top so you can take out the camera's wrist strap that allows you to carry it secure in its case. If you rather not carry it like that, there is a Velcro belt loop that can be used to fit it around your belt if that suits you better.
The snap-front-flap is designed in a similar fashion to cellular cases that use a small magnet to keep it close and tight; the magnet is not too large so it is actually pretty convenient and does not seem to damage the camera inside (as I have seen in my experience with similar cases for my cell phones)
Keep in mind though that this is designed for small devices like pocket digital cameras, I own a Sony DSC-T7 and it fit just perfect! Just to give you another reference, I tried fitting into it a second generation Flip Mino HD and it also fit pretty well (though I intend to use the case for my DSC-T7)
Overall, another great product from Amazon basics, the frustration free package includes additionally the 1-year guarantee Amazon offers for the product. If it fits your camera, I highly recommend this case!

First of all, this is advertised as a camera case. my sony ericson flip phone barely fits in it. having said that, it's a nice, attactractive that functions well for what it's designed to do. is it nice to have? sure. do you really need? probably not. -- much smaller than i thought
I really like this case. It provides extra room for memory cards and batteries, and the actual grain is very fine, so it feels luxurious. The case is perfect for smaller snap and shoot cameras and not meant for anything with complex zoom lenses. There are no snap enclosures and any tightness when pulling the camera out. This is important to me, because I want to be able to quickly capture a moment without having to disassemble the case each time. Excellent "store brand"-highly recommend. -- Very nice "Amazon Basics" case-sturdy and spacious!
We got this case for a Sony Cybershot DSCW120. It fits the camera perfectly and affords it an acceptable level of protection. The case is fairly well made but "leather" is of the light variety and looks as though it would start to wear out in a year or two. But who knows, perhaps it will hold up. So far, so good. It will certainly protect a camera from scratches and give ample padding for normal wear and tear, but it is not overly padded for drops from any great height. If it fell on it's edge the ribbed style would help protect it, but if it fell flat I don't think it would offer more than the most modest impact protection.
It is an attractive case -- understated and not flashy. It isn't a high end case, but for the price you can't complain. The interior is covered with a suede-like lining and it even has a pocket for a spare memory card. The magnetic latch closes it securely and the velcro clasp secures easily to all but the widest belts. There is a hole at the top in case you want to run your wrist strap through it, but I found that feature unnecessary and it exposes the camera to the elements more than it should. Otherwise it is a good design and one I would recommend purchasing at this price point. -- Decent Case for the Right Camera
Typically leather camera cases are overpriced and/or poorly made. Because of this, my camera, a pocket-sized Canon SD780, had been sitting in a large, unattractive, nylon case for a while. It has now moved to this much better looking, well made case.
Size - The case is a bit smaller than expected, but luckily it fits my camera like a glove. It adds less than 1/2 inch of thickness to the camera and is still very pocketable.
Features - The case has a convenient hole for the camera strap at the top, a magnetic snap closure, a fairly useless small slot for a memory card, and a velcro closure belt strap.
Materials - This series is called "Basics", and it is fairly basic. The leather is decent, but the rough edges aren't all that attractive. The snap seems solid and well attached. The belt clip seems a bit cheap, and like it could come apart/tear off. The case will hold up to use for a while, but I wouldn't expect a lifetime.
Overall I think this case is a good value for the money. Although not the best case in the world, it's certainly better than typical cases in this range. -- Decent Case Offers a Great Value
